BlackBuck’s net profit fell 36% sequentially to ₹42.2 crore in Q1 FY27, down from ₹65.7 crore in Q4 FY26, even as operating revenue rose 42% year-on-year to ₹204.2 crore from ₹143.6 crore a year earlier.

Total income reached ₹220.5 crore, including ₹16.3 crore in other income and interest. Truck operator services drove 98.5% of operating revenue. Growth verticals, chiefly Superloads and vehicle finance, expanded 153% year-on-year but remain a small share of total sales.

Expenses Outpaced Revenue

Total expenses climbed 57% year-on-year to ₹178.4 crore, driven by depreciation on telematics devices and a 16% rise in employee costs to ₹43 crore. Adjusted EBITDA grew just 16% to ₹546.2 million, trailing revenue growth by a wide margin.

Sequentially, operating revenue rose only 10% from ₹185 crore in Q4 FY26. The ₹30 crore quarter-on-quarter drop in profit came alongside this slower revenue pace, pointing to cost growth rather than a sales slowdown as the main pressure on margins.

BlackBuck’s monthly transacting truck operators stood at 883,000. Shares fell 3.64% following the results, with investors citing the depreciation charges and shifting business mix. The stock closed near ₹530, valuing the company at ₹9,679 crore.
