PharmEasy Founders Venture into Interior Design: A New Chapter with All Home

The co-founders of PharmEasy, Dharmil Sheth, Dhaval Shah, and Hardik Dedhia, have embarked on a new journey with their latest venture, All Home. This startup aims to revolutionize India’s fragmented architectural and interior design market, valued at approximately $60 billion.

The Vision Behind All Home

All Home is not just another startup; it’s a brand-building platform designed to modernize the interior design sector. By partnering with profitable, omnichannel brands, All Home plans to streamline categories such as:

With consumers increasingly investing in their living spaces, there’s a noticeable gap in access to the right channels and products. As Shah mentions, “Our platform aims to address this gap,” focusing on bringing order and innovation.

Transition from PharmEasy to All Home

After stepping down from their roles at PharmEasy earlier this year, the founders have defined new roles at All Home. Sheth leads operations, Shah manages brand, finance, and compliance, while Dedhia heads technology. They remain involved with API Holdings, PharmEasy’s parent company, as board members or observers.

This transition comes as PharmEasy revives its IPO ambitions, despite recent financial challenges. The founders’ shift indicates a strategic pivot to leverage their expertise in a burgeoning market.

Strategic Partnerships and Growth

All Home has already partnered with brands like Colour Coats, House of W, and Fiamarc, with plans to onboard more soon. Operating in stealth mode for six months, the startup has already achieved scale and operational profitability.

The startup recently raised funding, valuing it at around $120 million. The investment round, led by Bessemer Venture Partners, included notable participants like Siddharth Shah, Motilal Oswal Asset Management, and Warburg Pincus. This financial backing not only provides capital but also strategic support for growth.

Addressing Industry Challenges

India’s home improvement supply chain faces several inefficiencies, such as:

  • Slow turnarounds
  • Fragmented vendor coordination
  • Limited after-sales services

All Home aims to tackle these issues by offering partner brands a digital operating system, design insights, and tech-enabled procurement support.

Anant Vidur Puri from Bessemer Venture Partners highlights the sector’s potential, stating, “The home infrastructure and interior design sector in India is at a pivotal inflection point.” Rising aspirations and disposable incomes are driving this change, yet the market remains underserved.

The Future of Interior Design in India

The launch of All Home raises interesting questions about the future of India’s interior design industry. Will this new venture set a precedent for other startups in the sector? Can it truly bridge the gap between consumer needs and market offerings?

The founders’ experience with PharmEasy gives them a unique perspective on scaling operations and leveraging technology. Their approach could serve as a model for other startups aiming to innovate in traditional industries.

Conclusion

All Home’s journey is just beginning, but its potential impact on the interior design market is significant. By addressing inefficiencies and leveraging strategic partnerships, the startup is well-positioned to bring much-needed change to a fragmented industry.
