One97 Communications, Paytm’s parent, reported consolidated net profit of ₹220 Cr for the June quarter, up 79% year-on-year, with revenue up 28% to ₹2,448 Cr.

Founder and CEO Vijay Shekhar Sharma used the Q1 FY27 earnings call to detail plans to sell AI products built in-house to merchants, enterprises and financial services firms, marking Paytm’s first formal push into non-payments revenue.

The offerings span merchant acquisition, customer engagement, collections, support and business automation, built on tools including Paytm ARMS and the fraud-detection system Paytm Pi. Some products are already generating revenue in the low-lakh range, Sharma said. Paytm also built a 4-billion-parameter AI model designed to run on fewer computing resources than mainstream alternatives.
