Info Edge will install Himanshu Agarwal as chief financial officer and whole-time director from September 17, the company said on September 14, alongside the reappointment of Naresh Chand Gupta as an additional independent director from October 1.

Agarwal succeeds Ambarish Raghuvanshi, who has held the CFO post on an interim basis since November 2025 after Chintan Thakkar’s departure. Raghuvanshi stays on as finance advisor through October 31 to manage the handover. Agarwal’s term runs five years, to September 16, 2031, and he joins Info Edge’s Risk Management Committee and Business Responsibility and Sustainability Reporting Committee. He has previously held CFO and director roles at ICI India, AstraZeneca Pharma India, AkzoNobel India, Huhtamaki Oyj, Times Group and Cohance Lifesciences, per Business Standard.

A board seat Gupta held once before

Gupta sat on Info Edge’s board from 2007 to March 2023 and was previously managing director of Adobe Systems India. He is currently an independent director at eClerx Services and NoPaperForms and works with Accuracap Technologies and Accuracap Consultancy Services. His new term runs five years, to September 30, 2031, pending shareholder approval by postal ballot.

The reshuffle closes a CFO gap that had run nearly a year since Thakkar’s exit in late 2025, formalising a position Raghuvanshi filled on an interim basis while Info Edge continued expanding its internet businesses and technology investments.
