Lenskart has paid ₹8 crore for an additional 1.8% stake in Dimension NXG, the parent of extended reality startup AjnaLens, lifting its total holding to 9.01% from 7.21%. The purchase was filed on September 13, 2026, and is Lenskart’s third tranche into the company this year.

The sequence: 0.68% in February for an undisclosed sum, 1.69% in July, and now 1.8% in September. Together the three deals total ₹18.5 crore and have added 4.17 percentage points to Lenskart’s original 4.84% stake from AjnaLens’ listing.

The buying lines up with sector data. IDC recorded over 1,000% growth in global smart glass shipments in 2025, outpacing smartwatches and hearables. Lenskart’s own B by Lenskart smart glasses had 30,000 users on its waitlist by the end of FY26, ahead of any at-scale shipping. The company has also partnered with Qualcomm on its smart-glasses hardware stack.

AjnaLens, which has operated since 2014 serving defence and enterprise clients, reported ₹10.4 crore in FY26 turnover, down 19% from ₹12.8 crore the year before. Lenskart MD Peyush Bansal sits on AjnaLens’ board, and the stake purchase is filed as a SEBI-compliant related-party transaction, disclosed but not an independent market signal.

Three tranches in, Lenskart’s stake has nearly doubled since listing while AjnaLens’ revenue has fallen for a second straight year; the next quarterly filing will show whether that gap closes.
