The investment was led by State Street Global Advisors with Rs 81.7 crore, followed by contributions from Elev8 Capital, Rummytime Technologies, and Unitary Fund.

Elev8 Capital, known for its strategic investments in tech-driven startups, also played a significant role. Other contributors included Rummytime Technologies, a gaming company, and Unitary Fund. The remaining funds were sourced from Akram Ventures, Faering Capital, Niveshaay Sambhav, and over 20 other investors.

Post-allotment, Smallcase’s valuation is estimated to be around $285-290 million. This marks a significant milestone for the company, which has raised over $120 million to date. According to TheKredible, Peak XV holds the largest external stake at 16.2%, followed by Faering Capital at 9.67% and Blume Ventures at 7.67%. These percentages are expected to shift slightly following the disclosure of the secondary transactions.

Financial Performance and Growth Trajectory

Smallcase has demonstrated robust financial performance, with a 2.2X year-on-year revenue growth, reaching Rs 67.4 crore in the fiscal year ending March 2024. The company generates revenue primarily through transaction fees from brokers, facilitating transactions in exchange-traded products. Interestingly, Smallcase managed to reduce its losses by 74%, down to Rs 34 crore during the same period.
