In a significant development for the sexual wellness industry, That Sassy Thing, a women-focused sexual wellness brand, has secured Rs 6 crore in seed funding. This funding round was spearheaded by Inflection Point Ventures, a renowned angel investment platform based in Gurugram. The funding also saw participation from notable entrepreneurs and investors, including Bala Sarda of Vahdam Teas, Saurabh Munjal of Lahori Zeera, and Kirti Jangra of Animall Technologies. The Chandigarh Angels Network also joined the cap table, marking a robust endorsement for the brand.

What sets That Sassy Thing apart is its commitment to education. The brand has pioneered India’s first free, credible sex-ed masterclasses online, emphasizing the importance of informed choices in sexual wellness.

Leadership Insights and Vision

"Sexual wellness needs a rebrand," says Sachee Malhotra, Co-founder of That Sassy Thing. "For too long, women have been ignored or objectified in this space. We’re changing that narrative by focusing on women’s needs—vaginal wellness, PCOS, menopause—and giving them stigma-free access to products and education. With this fundraise, we’re doubling down on brand, team, and category-defining solutions."

Himanshu Bhalla, Co-founder, adds, "The market is massive and deeply untapped. With rising global exposure and changing mindsets, we’re poised to create India’s largest sexual wellness brand for women. The response has been overwhelmingly positive, and this is just the beginning."

Expanding Market Presence

That Sassy Thing has shown impressive growth, boasting a 200% year-over-year increase and serving over 50,000 customers across India. The brand’s products are available on their website and major quick-commerce platforms like Blinkit, Zepto, and Swiggy Instamart. Additionally, they’ve started retailing at select cafés in Delhi NCR, bringing their innovative products closer to consumers.

Vinay Bansal, Founder & CEO of Inflection Point Ventures, shares his perspective: "As an investor, I believe women’s sexual wellness and education are among the most overlooked and underfunded areas in the consumer lifestyle space. That Sassy Thing is boldly flipping the script—not just with well-designed products, but also with inclusive, credible sex education that’s changing the way women engage with themselves."

The Growing Potential of the Indian Sexual Wellness Market

The Indian sexual wellness market is projected to reach Rs 24,000 crore by 2030, presenting a significant opportunity for growth. Historically, male-focused brands have dominated this space. However, there is a growing push for gender-inclusive, wellness-driven narratives, creating immense room for growth in women’s sexual wellness.

A Personal Touch: Insights from the Founders

Sachee Malhotra and Himanshu Bhalla’s journey in creating That Sassy Thing is deeply personal. They recognized a gap in the market for women-focused sexual wellness products and decided to take action. Their commitment to breaking taboos and fostering open conversations about sexual health is a testament to their passion and dedication.

Why This Matters to You

As a consumer, you may wonder why this matters. The answer lies in the broader implications for women’s health and empowerment. By supporting brands like That Sassy Thing, you’re contributing to a movement that challenges societal norms and prioritizes women’s needs. It’s a step towards a more inclusive and informed society.

Looking Ahead: A Promising Future

With the recent funding, That Sassy Thing is poised for further growth and innovation. The brand aims to expand its product offerings and continue its mission of providing stigma-free access to sexual wellness products and education. As the market evolves, That Sassy Thing is well-positioned to become a leader in the Indian sexual wellness industry.

In conclusion, That Sassy Thing’s recent funding round marks a significant milestone in the journey towards redefining sexual wellness for women. With a focus on education, innovation, and inclusivity, the brand is set to make a lasting impact on the industry and the lives of countless women across India.
