Floww: Empowering Bharat’s MSMEs with Smart Software Solutions

In the bustling heart of Bihar, two IIT Bombay graduates, Anish Kumar Singh and Prakhar Kumar Singh, embarked on a mission to revolutionize how India’s 63 million-plus MSMEs operate. They founded Floww APIs Pvt. Ltd. in 2021 with the aim to provide seamless, affordable, and intuitive software tools to these micro, small, and medium enterprises.

The Journey from Hackathon to Headquarters

Floww’s inception wasn’t sparked by a singular "Eureka" moment but by the lived experiences of its founders. Witnessing the operational inefficiencies and tech challenges faced by local businesses, Anish and Prakhar leveraged their backgrounds in tech consulting and startup ecosystems to create a real-world impact. Their journey began during a hackathon, which laid the foundation for Floww’s commitment to grassroots innovation.

Building Software with MSMEs

Floww stands out by crafting software not just for MSMEs but with them. Its flagship Atom Suite 360 includes:

  • Atom HR: Unified attendance, payroll, and task management
  • Atom Builder: Drag-and-drop website and CRM tool
  • Atom Accounting: GST-ready billing and simplified finance tracking
  • Floww Logistics: Tools for inventory, delivery, and dues management

These plug-and-play modules are offered under a SaaS model starting at just ₹49/month, making digital transformation accessible even for micro-enterprises. The no-code interface and bilingual onboarding significantly reduce the learning curve.

A Team Rooted in Real India

Floww’s lean team focuses on curiosity and regional insight rather than just credentials. This approach aligns with their user-first mindset, ensuring that the tools are tailored to the needs of grassroots entrepreneurs.

Institutional Boosts and Recognition

Floww’s journey has been supported by IIT Bombay’s E-Cell, the Startup Bihar Initiative, and national programs like Startup India. In 2024, it won the Bihar Startup Award, highlighting its role in transforming grassroots business tech.

Addressing a Massive Market Gap

Despite India’s vast number of MSMEs, fewer than 20% are digitally equipped. Floww addresses this gap by offering a suite of connected tools that eliminate the need for fragmented applications, ensuring a more unified workflow. Its vernacular-friendly interfaces reduce the intimidation factor for first-time tech users.

With over 1,000 MSMEs already onboarded and five core products successfully launched, Floww is proving that digital transformation in Bharat is not only feasible but accelerating rapidly.

Strategic Edge and Revenue Model

Floww differentiates itself from enterprise solutions like Zoho and DIY tools like Google Suite by offering a vernacular-first user experience tailored for MSMEs. The company monetizes through SaaS subscriptions, tiered premium upgrades, and white-labeled partnerships.

Initially bootstrapped through savings and early revenue, Floww is now preparing for a seed round aimed at enhancing its product offerings and expanding outreach to underserved regions.

Scaling with a Purpose

By 2025, Floww aims to onboard 10,000+ MSMEs, launch AI-powered assistants in Atom Mail and HR, and integrate with e-invoicing and GSTN systems. Long-term plans include expanding across South Asia and Africa and establishing a certified partner network.

Floww’s success stories include users who’ve reduced manual workloads by 70%, streamlined accounting, and built a web presence for the first time—all without needing external tech help.

Conclusion

Floww is not just a software provider; it’s a catalyst for change in Bharat’s MSME landscape. By focusing on real problems and meeting users where they are, Floww is setting a new standard for grassroots SaaS solutions.
