Bengaluru-based cybersecurity firm CloudSEK has achieved a significant milestone by securing $10 million in funding from Connecticut Innovations (CI), marking the first time an Indian-origin cybersecurity company has received backing from a US state-backed venture fund. This funding is part of their Series B2 round, following a previous $19 million Series B1 round.

CloudSEK’s success at VentureClash, CI’s global investment pitch competition, was pivotal in securing this funding. The company plans to onboard strategic local talent and collaborate deeply with corporate partners and universities across the state.

CloudSEK’s Journey and Future Prospects

Prior to this funding round, CloudSEK’s Series B1 was led by US-based Commvault, with participation from MassMutual Ventures, Inflexor Ventures, and others. Early investors include the Meeran Family, StartupXSeed, Neon Fund, and Exfinity Ventures.

The funding will enable CloudSEK to continue its mission of enhancing cybersecurity resilience. This strategic move into the US market underscores the growing importance of cybersecurity in today’s digital landscape.
