IIT Madras: A Vision for Innovation and Job Creation

Professor V Kamakoti, Director of IIT Madras, is on a mission to transform the institution into a hub for innovation and job creation. His approach is clear and focused, aiming to make quality education accessible to all while fostering a culture of entrepreneurship.

Innovation and Entrepreneurship at IIT Madras

IIT Madras is setting ambitious targets for 2021-2027, including nurturing 100 deeptech startups annually. The institution’s Research Park is expected to incubate at least five ‘blockbuster’ companies each year. This initiative is supported by an I&E fund of Rs 100 crore.
