TraqCheck Secures $8M to Expand AI-Driven HR Solutions

TraqCheck, an HR tech startup originally from New Delhi and now based in London, has successfully raised $8 million in a Series A funding round led by IvyCap Ventures, with participation from IIFL. This funding is earmarked for the company’s expansion into the European market and further development of its AI-driven products, Trace and Nina. This move highlights the growing trend of AI adoption in HR processes, particularly in automating candidate sourcing and background checks.

The Company and Its Products

Founded by Armaan Mehta and Jaibir Nihal Singh, TraqCheck has developed AI agents designed to streamline recruitment processes. Its flagship products, Trace and Nina, automate background screening and real-time conversational sourcing, respectively. These tools aim to reduce the manual workload for recruiters and enhance efficiency in hiring workflows. With nearly 300 enterprise clients across India and Europe, TraqCheck is positioning itself as a leader in AI-native HR solutions.

Context and Competition

The HR tech sector is witnessing a significant shift towards AI-driven solutions, as businesses look to automate repetitive tasks and improve decision-making processes. TraqCheck’s approach of replacing traditional HR software with autonomous AI agents sets it apart in a competitive landscape. The company has previously attracted investment from notable figures like Peyush Bansal, founder of Lenskart, and Alok Oberoi, Chairman of Everstone Capital, underscoring its potential to disrupt the market.

The funding environment for Indian startups remains robust, with investors keen on backing companies that leverage deep tech to solve real-world problems. TraqCheck’s success in securing Series A funding reflects the broader confidence in AI’s role in transforming enterprise workflows.

Implications for India’s Startup Ecosystem

TraqCheck’s growth and funding highlight a broader trend of Indian startups gaining international traction, particularly in sectors like AI and SaaS. As Indian startups continue to innovate and expand globally, they contribute to the country’s reputation as a hub for tech innovation. The focus on AI-native solutions also signals a shift in how technology is integrated into business operations, with potential ripple effects across various sectors.

The involvement of firms like IvyCap Ventures and IIFL indicates a strong interest in supporting startups that not only innovate but also demonstrate scalable business models. This trend could encourage more Indian startups to explore AI-driven solutions, fostering a competitive and dynamic ecosystem.

What’s Next for TraqCheck

With the new funding, TraqCheck plans to deepen its presence in Europe and enhance its AI capabilities. The company aims to redefine HR processes by reducing reliance on traditional dashboards and introducing more digital colleagues. As enterprises continue to experiment with AI, TraqCheck’s approach could set a precedent for future developments in the HR tech space. The success of this expansion could further solidify India’s position in the global tech landscape.
